INX BATTLE LINES: Three Decades of Political Illustration
INX has been an artist-run syndicate for political illustration since 1980. Founded by award-winning editorial illustrators from the U.S. and abroad, the group has produced a weekly package of powerful images that has been distributed to hundreds of newspapers and other news sources over the past thirty-two years.
The work in the exhibition INX Battle Lines: Three Decades of Political Illustration has been culled from the very best contributions stretching from the Age of Reagan to the Obama Years. The more than 300 masterful illustrations, created by 55 of the most important illustrators in the field of Op-ed art, produce a modern picture history full of startling insights, humor and passion.
It's a show that engages anyone interested in cartooning, political science, satire or world history. Perfect for the engaged college student and the news junkie alike, the show has toured widely over the past 20 years. For more on the art and the artists, please visit inxart.com.
